Mr. Al Hampton King, 95, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 PM at the Triangle Cemetery in Troy, Tennessee. Bro. Dan Winkler and Bro. Bobby Stewart will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 9:00 am until time of service.
Pallbearers who will serve are Eric Forrest, Michael Spellings, Timothy Reed, Corey Cook, Riley Colson, and Marc Colson.
Mr. King was born November 13, 1920 in Troy, Tennessee to the late James Courtland and Bessie (Hampton) King. He was a retired farmer, a life-long member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Troy, Tennessee, worked in a sawmill, and the mowed golf course at Troy. He was also preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Martha W. King, one grandson, Jason Cook, one step-son, Steve Forrest, two brothers, and one sister.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Frances Nell Forrest King of Huntingdon, three children, Martha Knight (Ernie) of Nashville, Ralph King (Brenda) of Fulton, Kentucky, Judy Cook (Steve) of Old Hickory, one step-daughter, Vicky Forrest of Ashland City, and one brother, John W. King (Anna) of Hendersonville. He also leaves five grandchildren, Nicole Colson (Marc), Jay Dustin King (Jennifer), Trace King, Cory Cook, Stephanie Hoffner (Blaine), four step-grandchildren, Samantha Pinson (Mark), DeAnn Spellings (Michael), Eric Forrest (Alyssa), Brittany Britt (Brandon), eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
