Obituary

Mrs. Amelia Mae Goodrum, 82 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.



Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Christian Chapel Cemetery. Bro Doug Sellers will officiate the service.



The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood room of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of service.



Mrs. Goodrum was born February 1, 1929 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Jamie Caraway and Maureen (Reed) Caraway. She was the owner of Goodrum Grocery, Postmaster of the Leach Post Office and a member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Goodrum and a son, James Roscoe Goodrum.



She is survived by two daughters; Donna Williams (Bob) of Huntingdon, Patricia Hill of Saint Augustine, Florida, one sister-in-law; Evelyn Kinningham (Troy) of the Leach Community, three sisters, Dorothy Burress of Trezevant, Betty Knott of Bradford and Marjorie Tate of Lansing, Michigan. She also leaves three grandchildren, Quint Hodge (Dai) of Lexington, Amelia Williams and Caroline Williams both of Huntingdon and one great grandson, James Michael Hodge.
