Mr. Ben Larry Abbott, 66, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Carroll County Fire and Rescue Squad, and Leukemia and Lymphoma society.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Twin Oaks Community Cemetery. Bro. Kerry Mallard will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday after 4:00 PM and on Sunday from 11:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Abbott was born February 25, 1949 in Huntingdon, Tennessee to the late Bennie Leon and Blanche (Hammer) Abbott. He was a factory work for the ITT Corporation and the Sandvik-Windsor Corporation, and was a member of the Twin Oaks Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Brake Abbott and a brother, Phillip Abbott.

He is survived by one daughter, Beth Radford (Will) of Huntingdon; one son, Danny Abbott of Nashville; one sister, Barbara Rush of Parkers Crossroads; one brother, William Abbott (Theresa) of Buena Vista. He also leaves three grandchildren, Kate Radford, Michael Radford, and Katherine Abbott; nieces and nephews, Matthew Abbott, Dr. Jessica Abbott, Amanda Bartley, Jennifer Allen, and Kevin Rush, and several great nieces and nephews.
