Mr. Bennie Murphy, 73, of Cedar Grove, Tennessee passed away Friday, February 20. 2026 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 26,2026 at 1:00 PM at Obion Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Darrell Ridgely officiating.

Family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.

Pallbearers who will serve served are Michael Murphy, Trevor Foster, John Phillips, Jerry Phillips, Mark Killen, Greg Killen, Steve Lifsey, and Bennie Kennedy.

Mr. Murphy was born January 22, 1953 in Huntingdon, Tennessee to the late Otis and Hazel Murphy.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Wesley Murphy, and two sisters, Dean Dill of Lavinia, and Donna Mann of Brownsville.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Murphy of Cedar Grove, a daughter, Tracey Murphy of Huntingdon, a son, Michael Murphy of Cedar Grove.  He also leaves four grandchildren, Kelsey Murphy, Brooklyn Hays, Peyton Hays and Eli Hays.
