Mr. Billy Ray Bush, 83, of McKenzie passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Jackson officiating the service.  Interment will follow in the Union Academy Cemetery.

Pallbearers who will serve are Darwin Martinez, Larry Moore, Randy Remmel, Jonathan Martin, Bobby Birmingham, and Frankie Welch.

The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Monday from 11:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Bush was born October 22, 1935 in McKenzie, Tennessee, to the late Robert Lee Bush and Gertie May (Manns) Bush.  He was a Farmer and former Guard and Fireman at the Milan Arsenal.  He served in the National Guard for 12 years.  He attended Union Academy Baptist Church near his home.  He was preceded in death by seven sisters, Bennie Lundy, Ophie Chandler, Lucille Walpole, Evora Bryant, Irene Barker, Beulah Bush, Delma Bush, and two brothers, Austin Bush and Haywood Bush.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sue Mitchell Bush, two daughters, Debbie Reed (Don) of McLemoresville and Penny Hill of McKenzie.  He also leaves one granddaughter, Abby Rae Reed.
