Mr. Billy Dean Kelly, 80 of Cedar Grove, Tennessee passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at the Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery. Bro. John Baker will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
Mr. Kelly was born September 5, 1933 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Noel Valentine and Pearl Hincybell (Lewis) Kelly. He a self employed heavy equipment operator, a member of the Leach Seventh Day Adventist Church and had served as head deacon at the church for many years. He was preceded in death by his first wife Betty Ruth (Hardy) Kelly; one son, Gary D. Johnson; six sisters, Olie Jarrett, Madeline Ledbetter, Mary Nell Pendergrass, Gracie Berlyn Barger, Nolene Barger and Kate Jarrett; five brothers, Jim Kelly, Archie Kelly, Fred Kelly, Jack Kelly and Dwayne Kelly.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Ruth Kelly; one daughter, Rhonda Applegate (husband Doug) of Trezevant and one son, Greg Chandler (wife Tammy) of Cedar Grove. He also leaves six grandchildren, Dale Johnson (wife April), Joshua Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson (wife Gina), T.J. Johnson, Dylan Johnson, and Jay Gentry; and eight great grandchildren.
