Mr. Billy Jack Pruitt Sr., 69, of Cedar Grove, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Lavinia Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Bro. Steve Osborne will officiate the service.

The family will receive friend at the Lavinia Baptist Church on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Pruitt was born December 22, 1946 in Stevenson, Alabama to the late Hubert Wilson Pruitt and Lois Rubylee (Shoemake) Pruitt. He was a retired Self Employed Carpenter, a member of the Lavinia Baptist Church, served in the United States Army, and was a Vietnam Veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy Mae Pruitt; four sons, Christopher Lee Pruitt (Leslie Thuy) of Gilroy, California, Billy Jack Pruitt Jr. (Nancy), Kevin James Pruitt (Robin), and Nichlos Ryan Pruitt (Crystal) all of Cedar Grove; one sister, Theresa Beatrice Lewis of Chattanooga; five brothers, James Robert Pruitt of Sequatchie, Hubert Edwin Pruitt of Wildersville, Jerry Wayne Pruitt of Jasper, William Fred Pruitt of Sequatchie and Johnny Leon Pruitt of Clarksburg. He also leaves twelve grandchildren, Emily Haley, Joyce Ho, Hunter Pruitt, Jackie Ho, Brice Pruitt, Morgan Pruitt, Tyler Pruitt, Shalin Pruitt, Colton Pruitt, Benjamin Pruitt, McKenna Pruitt,Anna Pruitt, and Christian Patterson.
