Mr. Billy Ray Smith 70, of Bruceton, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Jamison Cemetery. Bro. Robert Simmons will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 Pm until 9:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Ralph Newhouse, Ralph Lewis, James Ray Sanders, Pete Smith, Jimmy Simpson and Jonathan Mc Dowell.

Mr. Smith was born November 21, 1943 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Carl Edward and Clara Mae (Lewis) Smith. He was a self employed carpenter and attended Calvary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Cliff Smith, James Smith and Bobby Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Smith; two daughters, Mary Griffin (husband Mike) of Nashville, Nancy Smith of Huntingdon, two sons, Kenneth Smith (wife April), Richard Smith both of Pickett, Arkansas, one sister, Elaine Cannon (husband Wayne) of Huntingdon and a special granddaughter, Christa Griffin. He also leaves six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
