Mr. Bobby D. Brown, 78, of Bruceton, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the New Hope United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery. Bro. Steve Whitworth will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Pallbearers who will serve are Kevin Morris, Billy Joe McFadden, Jimmy Ford, Ronnie Bennett, and Darrin Carey.

Bobby D. Brown, loving husband and father, born June 5, 1937 to the late Ruby Lee (Rogers) Brown and Row Denus Brown. Married Carolyn Jean Ford in 1956; also preceded him on November 8, 2002. After serving his Country, he and his wife moved to Chicago for over 20 plus years and had their family. They returned home where he continued his work as a diesel mechanic at Volunteer International in Jackson, TN. He later retired as a Service Manager after 27 years. He attended New Hope United Methodist Church in Vale. He was kind hearted, fun loving, God fearing, and helped everyone. He was a great inspiration and he will be missed.He was also preceded in death a infant grandson, William Robert Brown and by one sister, Lousie Gurley.

He is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Carolyn Crawford ; one son Robert Lawton Brown (Vicki) both of Bruceton; two sisters, Reva Merrell of Bruceton, Peggy McFadden (Billy) of Huntsville, Alabama, and one brother, James Brown (Georgie) of Bruceton. He also leaves two grandchildren, Janean Carolyn Clayton and Dylan Foster Brown; three great grandchildren, Casey Ryder Clayton, Katie Jean Clayton, and Joshua Edward Clayton.
