Obituary

Mr. Bobby Gene Cole 82, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, formerly of Huntingdon passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens. Bro. Fred Ward will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Cole was born June 20, 1931 in Weakley County, Tennessee to the late Samuel and Mary M. (Allen) Cole. He was a retired switchman for the Bell South Company, a member and Deacon at the First Baptist Church in Huntingdon and he served in United States Navy during the Korean War. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Betty Cole; one brother, Tommy Cole and one son, Bobby Bell.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Cole; four daughters, Gina Johnson (husband Jim) of Martin, Debbie Seigfried (husband Robert) of Murfreesboro, Pam Edwards (husband Rocky) of Hendersonville, and Jaynie Cunningham (husband Richard) of Kingston Springs; and sister-in-law, Peggy Cole of Huntingdon. He also leaves ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
