Mr. Byron Dale "Buddy" Peterson, 73 passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon and his wife, Helen Jane Gooch Peterson 73, both of Westport, Tennessee passed away Sunday May 25, 2014 at the Regional Hospital in Jackson.

Joint funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May, 28 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sellers Hill Cemetery. Bro. Billy Clark will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Peterson was born July 30, 1940. He was a retired truck driver for the H.I. S. Company. He was preceded in death by his father, James Odell Peterson.

Mrs. Peterson was born January 13, 1941. She was a retired factory work for the Publix Shirt Corp. She was preceded in death by, her father, Sam Edward Gooch and one brother, Brent Gooch.

They were both born in Carroll County, Tennessee, had be married for 56 years, and they were both members of the Westport Church of Christ. They were also preceded in death by a son, Allon Keith Peterson.

They are survived by, one daughter, Sheila Perry (husband Jeff) of Yuma, one son, Ronald Peterson (wife Lori) of Brentwood, his mother, Lucille Peterson of Clarksburg, her mother, Lou Nell Gooch of Yuma, his two sisters, Sue Gurley (husband Odell), Pat Renfroe, his one brother, Kenny Peterson (wife Melissa) all of Clarksburg, her brother, Roger Gooch (wife Betty) of Wildersville. They also leave three grandchildren, Ty Franklin Peterson, Catherine Gray Coppernoll and Helen Alivia Perry.
