Mr. Cecil A. Pendergrass, 92, of Cedar Grove, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 8, 2021, at 1:00 P.M in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Clarksburg Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.

Mr. Pendergrass was born July 5, 1929 in Clarksburg to the late Jesse and Florence Douglas Pendergrass. He was a welder for the City of Memphis for 35 years and served in the Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Eunice Jean Pendergrass, two sisters, Nita Faye Lovell and Brooksie McDaniel, and a brother, Adrian Pendergrass.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Pendergrass, of Cedar Grove, two sisters, Willie Mae Scott, and Joyce Altom, both of Clarksburg, a grandson, Christopher McCaslin of Cedar Grove, two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn McCaslin and Gage McCaslin, and a great-great grandchild, Miles Rossum.
