Mr. Charles "Chob" Edwin Balentine, 80 of Cedar Grove, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, September 13, 2020, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Wesley Grooms officiating.  Interment will follow in Hebron Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Brenda Williams, Nicky Hunter, Ricky Eubanks, Ricky Smith, Chris Balentine, Delton Balentine, James Stephen Balentine, Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Hunter, Dustin Balentine, and Chris Drinkard.

Mr. Balentine was born August 20, 1940 in Trenton, Tennessee, to the late Clifton Lee "Shorty" and Beulah Mae (Miller) Balentine.  He was a retired factory worker for Jones Manufacturing and Baptist by faith.  He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lydia Kate Balentine, Frances Louise Bryant, Kathryn Rosielee Morgan, three brothers, William Lee Balentine, Bill Neal Balentine, and James Kelly Balentine.

He is survived by one daughter, Robin Balentine Hunter (Joe) of Ashland City, one son, Michael Balentine (Theresa) of Trenton, three sisters, Marilyn Gooch (Danny) of Yuma, Linda Holifield of Huntingdon, Shirley Grooms of Camden, three brothers, Bob Balentine (Donnie) of Huntingdon, Steve Balentine (Linda), Fred Balentine (Mary) both of Greenfield, care givers and special nieces, Kay Grooms and Brenda Williams.  He also leaves three grandchildren Nick Hunter (Lara), Dustin Balentine (Jennifer), Cecelia Balentine, three great-grandchildren, Chloe Hunter, Sophie Hunter, Leia, and several nieces and nephews.
