Mr. Charles Edward Kirby, 64 of Greenfield, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 1:00 PM at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Milan. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Pastor John W. Bryant Sr. and Bishop Lawrence L. Kirby Sr. will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until time of service.
Mr. Kirby was born August 3, 1947 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Alex and Ida Mae (Greer) Kirby. He worked for the State of Tennessee Highway Department and was a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Milan.
He is survived by three sisters, Mattie Louise Conley, Lula (Gary) Barnhill, Maxine Kirby all of Atwood, three brothers, Luther Kirby of Atwood, Bishop Lawrence(Dr. Renee) Kirby of Racine, Wisconsin and Kenneth L. Kirby of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He also leaves aunts; Ethel Macklin, Bettie Kirby, Louella Greer, Gracie Hunt, Flora Greer, Dorothy King and Pat Greer, uncles; Clarence, Leon, Otis, Billy and Jerry Greer and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
