Obituary

Mr. Charles Edward McCay, 77 of New Johnsonville, Tennessee, formerly of Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Hampton Cemetery. Bro. Brad Seaton and Don McLin will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Monday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Randy Vaughn, Mike Bull, Chris Mitchell, Donnie McLin, Phillip Landbin, Darrell Day, and James McCay.

Mr. McCay was born April 3, 1936 in Yuma, Tennessee to the late George and Della (Pettigrew) McCay. He retired from Inland Container as Industrial maintenance worker, owned the Fruit and Vegetable Market for 10 years and also owned the Lakeside Bar and Grill. He was a Korean War Army Veteran. He was also preceded in death by one brother, James McCay.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Loretta (Reeves) McCay, two daughters, Sheila McLin (husband Don) of Sugar Tree, and Tamera Johnson (husband Steve) of New Johnsonville, and one son, Phillip McCay of New Johnsonville. He also leaves six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one nephew and three nieces.
