Mr. Charlie Ervin Gates 70, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, July 03, 2013 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 6 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Bro. Bud Ricketts will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 4:00 PM until time of services.
Mr. Gates was born June 29, 1943 in Cedar Grove, Tennessee to the late James Andrew and Estelle (Newell) Gates. He was a retired truck driver for Bush Logging and had served in the United Sates Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Gates; three sisters, Brenda Cole, Patsy Mann and Sandra Smith.
He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Herron of Land O'Lakes, Florida; one step son, Joey Boyette of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Diane Melton of Jackson and one brother, James Gates of Huntingdon. He also leaves two grandchildren, Taylor Herron and Devan Herron.
