Born December 15, 1939 In Calvert City, Kentucky to the late James David Jones and Inez Bonner (Tucker) Jones.
Survived by his loving wife of sixty-four years Glenda (Wilson) Jones, one daughter Diana Burns (Mike) of Bartlett, Tennessee, two sons David Alex Jones (Vicki) of Cedar Grove, Tennessee, and Donald Charles Jones (Blake) of Nashville, Tennessee, grandson David Burns (Christine) of Wisconsin, and granddaughter Sarah Clark (Hunter) of Utah.

Although an excellent student, Chuck dropped out of high school at age seventeen and joined the U.S. Navy. Where in the very early days of computer technology he was trained as a computer software developer. He spent his entire working life in the information systems field as a developer, and in various management roles including senior executive positions at American Express, Holiday Inns, and Medtronic.
Chuck had a notably fragmented and unusual educational experience. This included attendance of public schools in Kentucky, undergraduate study at three colleges, and finally in 1979 at age forty graduation from the Executive Education Program at the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
Post retirement in the late 90's Chuck enjoyed many "hands-on" endeavors. He was a founding member of the West Tennessee Woodturners Association. He was an active and gifted craftsman with a love of teasing out beautiful vases, platters and bowls from a variety of domestic and exotic woods. From time-to-time he created collaborations with his glass artist wife, Glenda. Chuck was also very active in disaster relief and spent many weeks of his retirement eagerly helping others with his chainsaw and heavy equipment both locally and in other states.
Chuck was truly dedicated to his family, made a positive impact on the community, had a great sense of humor and a fine intellect. He never met a stranger, loved a good conversation no matter the topic, and was an incredible husband and father. Beloved by his family and friends he will be dearly missed.
