Obituary

Mrs. Clarcie King Hollowell, 93, of Westport, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 16, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mt. Comfort Cemetery. Bro. Ronnie Hayes will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Jason Hollowell, John Hart, Wendell King, Ricky Hollowell, Russell King, and Ricky Hicks. Honorary Pallbearers are Steve King, James Whitaker, Charlie Pritchard, Michael King, Terry King, and Jeffery Ward.

Mrs. Hollowell was born December 25, 1922 in Westport, Tennessee to the late Gray and Eva (Miller) King. She was a retired seamstress for the H.I. S. Company. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Lexie Hollowell; a son, Jerry Ray Hollowell; two brothers, Walter King and Wesley King

She was saved at a young age and joined Mt. Comfort Missionary Church where she was a devoted church member and Treasurer to the Cemetery Fund. She lived a dedicated life to her church family and always faithful to the service of her Lord.

She married James Lexie Hollowell in September of 1939 and was a loving wife, mother, and a wonderful "Granny" to her entire family. She had many friends and everyone that met her would begin to love her. She always had a wonderful attitude above life and shared her good will towards all. She will truly be missed by all that knew her kindness and her family will have a spot that can never be filled.

She is survived by a son, James Edward Hollowell (Anna Laura) of Kingston Springs; a daughter in law, Louise Hollowell, and a brother, Chesley King. She also leaves two grandchildren, Wanda Hollowell (John D. Hart) and Jason Hollowell (Chelsea) and five great grandchildren, Candace Nichole Gooch-Ward (Jeffery), Meagan Brooke Gooch, Alexis Jayne Hollowell, Lillian Elizabeth Scott, and Gage Davis Scott.
