Mr. Danny Joe "Joey" Avery, 59 of Huntingdon, Tennessee, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Avery Cemetery in Quincy, Tennessee with Bro. George Avery officiating.

Mr. Avery was born September 4, 1963 in San Diego, California.  He was self employed as a truck driver, a member of Calidonia Missionary Baptist Church, and served in the National Guard for twelve years.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Timmy Harder.

He is survived by his wife, Edrice S. Avery, one son, Joshua McCoy Avery (Katie) of New Orleans, his mother, JoAnn Nergard of Paris, his father, Danny Joe Avery of Beech Bluff, a sister, Renee Bohon (James) of Paris, half-sister, Jennifer Knolton (Tom) of Jackson, a brother, George Avery (Brianna) of Clarksburg and a half-brother, Chad Avery (Lisa) of Jacksonville, Florida. He also leaves five grandchildren, Madison Avery, Carlynn Avery, Maddox Avery, Colton Avery, and Mason Avery.
