Mr. David Earl Williams, 72, of Beech Bluff, Tennessee passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026 at his home.
Funeral arrangements will be conducted in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Adam Allen, Raleigh Crawford, and Michael Shears officiating. Interment to follow at Jamison Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
David was born September 26, 1953 to the late, Frances Claudine Eubank Williams and George "Bill" Charles Williams. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Anthony Williams and his wife, Patty, both of Clarksburg.
David graduated from Clarkburg High School in 1971. He then proceeded to obtain his Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science with honors from the University of Tennessee at Martin. After graduation, David worked for John Morrell Packing Company and then moved into the commodities business in 1982. He then began his lifelong career as a commodity broker until the time of his death.
Growing up in a farming family, David had a passion for the outdoors from an early age. Quail hunting around his home led to what would later become his love for the sport of horseback field trials. David had many achievements over his lifetime in the sport. He gave endless time and effort, volunteering on numerous boards and committees over the years to continue the betterment of field trials. He always served without hesitation and without any expectation of gratitude. He hosted numerous trials at the Williams' Farm where good times were always had. One of the greatest honors of his life was being inducted into the Field Trial Hall of Fame in 2024.
In addition to his passion of field trials, he enjoyed being involved in the family farming operation with his brother and two cherished nephews, Guy and Chris. David was a proud father, brother, grandfather and uncle. He is survived by his wife, Angie Williams; his daughter, Allison Daniels and her husband, Jamie; two grandchildren, Rose Marie and Thomas Daniels. He is also survived by his two sisters, Nancy Simpson (Jimmy) of Huntingdon, and Michelle Clark of Clarksburg. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers who will serve are Jamie Daniels, Guy Williams, Chris Williams, Gary McKibben, Joe Hughes and Phillip Barnett. Honorary pallbearers are Weldon Bennett, Danny "Lebob" Stanfill, Jim Atchison, and Scott Little.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Bird Dog Foundation, Inc. (505 Hwy. 57 W, Grand Junction, TN 38039) or Youth Field Trial Alliance (12410 County Line Road, Pavo, GA 31778).
