Mrs. Deborah Thorne, 74, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024 at her home.

Mrs. Deborah Thorne was born May 23, 1950, in Humboldt, Tennessee, to the late Patrick Daniel and Mary Elizabeth (Mitchell) Blackwell. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee – Martin in 1972. She was a beloved educator in the Memphis City Schools for twenty years. She was a faithful member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Memphis, Tennessee, and upon moving to Huntingdon at retirement, Holy Family Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-two years, Leon Thorne; a daughter, Stephanie Ann Thorne of Lexington; a son, William Michael Thorne (Leanne) of Wildersville; a sister, Mary Blackwell Johnson of Bruceton; a brother, John Dennis Blackwell of Bruceton; nieces, Monique Hodge (Michael) of Jamestown, Lorna Hout (Eric) of Killeen, Texas; two great nephews, Oliver Hodge and Seamus Hodge.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Michael Okata officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M, with a Rosary service at 7:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M.

Pallbearers who will serve are Tom O'Bryant, Tom Mills, Dustin Jones, Matthew Loftis, Andy Smith and Michael Hodge.
