Obituary

Mrs. Dee Ann McAlexander, 81, of Cedar Grove, Tennessee passed away peacefully Monday, November 10, 2025 at Medina Health and Rehabilitation, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 15, 2025 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Barger Officiating. Burial Will Follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Lavinia, TN.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Chad Prater, Michael Krause, Heath McAlexander, Alex McAlexander, Byron Massie, James Gateley.

Mrs. McAlexander Was born May 9, 1944 in Law, TN to the late Elton Ray Gateley and Dora Mae (Hamilton) Gately. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard McAlexander, and her siblings James Gateley, Jessie Long, Melia Qua Surrat, Sammy Gateley.

She is survived by her sons, Roger (Laura) McAlexander, Ricky (Cheryl) McAlexander, and Randy (Stephanie) McAlexander; her grandchildren Genji (Chad) Prater, Alex (Hannah) McAlexander, Kelsey (Micheal) Krause, and Heath McAlexander; one step-grandchild Matt (Laura) Jones, Dee Ann was also blessed with two great-grandchildren Ealon and Anson Prater.

She held a special place in her heart for her two nieces Vanessa (Byron) Massie and Daisy (Shannon) Vaughn who were a cherished part of her life, along with her special great-nieces, Catherine, Christy, and Makayla and great-nephew Dalton.

A longtime employee of Republic Door, Dee Ann was Admired for her strong work ethic, generous spirit, and caring nature. She was known for always taking care for everyone around her. She loved spending time in her garden and was well known among family and friends for her homemade chicken vegetable soup.

Her Gentle Spirit, kindness, and deep love for her family will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
