Mr. Dennie Allen Gentry, 85, of Cedar Grove, Tennessee passed away Monday February 19, 2018 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Leach Seventh Day Adventist Church. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Bro. John Baker will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday at the Leach Seventh Day Adventist Church from 12:00 PM until time of service.

Mr. Gentry was born July 9, 1932 in Cedar Grove, Tennessee to the late Fred and Nell (Woodard) Gentry. He was a cabinet maker and served in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by three brothers, Ben Gentry, Donald Gentry, and Jerry Gentry.

He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Burtnett (Dan) of South Bend, Indiana and Katrina Chancey of Chattanooga; two sons, Fred Gentry (Traci) of Cedar Grove and Clint Gentry of New York, New York; one brother, Jim Gentry (Sandy) of Cedar Grove. He also leaves eight grandchildren, Ryan, Stefanie, Ashleigh, Chapin, Chad, Logan, Colton, and Alyssa and one great grandchild, Rylan.
