Mr. Donald Richard Gentry, 80, of Cedar Grove, Tennessee passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Leach Seventh Day Adventist Church. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Pastor John Baker will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Sunday at the Leach Seventh Day Adventist Church from 11:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Gentry was born July 20, 1936 in Cedar Grove, Tennessee to the late Fred Ramon and Nell (Woodard) Gentry. He was a truck driver for Stanfill Enterprises, a member of the Leach Seventh Day Adventist Church, and he was an Army Veteran. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Simons and a brother, Ben Gentry.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years Charlene Gentry; one daughter Robin Simons of Rossville, Georgia; three brothers, Jerry Gentry of Cedar Grove, Jim Gentry of Lavinia, and Denny Gentry of Cedar Grove. He also leaves one grandson, Austin Case of Rossville, Georgia.
