Mr. Donny Wix Gateley 75, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Twin Oaks Community Cemetery. Bro. Kerry Mallard will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Kendall Mallard, Danny Clark, Andy Rushing, Jimmy Oakley, Mike Robinson, Andy Lewis, Danny Rich and Bill Robinson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dennis Robinson, Les Freeman, Brett Freeman and Garrett Gateley.

Mr. Gateley was born April 7, 1937 in Cedar Grove, Tennessee to the late Joe Gateley and Velma (Kirk) Gateley. He was a self employed contactor, an elder of the Twin Oaks Church of Christ and had served in the National Guard. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Betsy Stout and one brother, Joe Gateley Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Gateley of Huntingdon, one daughter, Donna Freeman (husband Les) of Arlington, one son, Kerry Gateley (wife Laura) of Lynchburg, Virginia and one sister, Polly Bartholomew of Huntingdon. He also leaves five grandchildren, Triona Gateley, Erina Gateley, Garrett Gateley, Brett Freeman and Lia Freeman.
