Mrs. Doris Jean Fields 78, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens. Pastor Mark Carrigan will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM

Pallbearers who will serve are Brett Blakeman, Perry Blakeman, Zachary Curry, Matthew Fields, Brian Espey, and Brad Espey.

Mrs. Fields was born September 8, 1936 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Eldon and Pauline (Pinson) Espey. She was a retired director for the Carroll County Health Department, member of the First United Methodist Church and the Woman's Club. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Ron Espey.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Veldon Fields; one daughter, Jeaneen Blakeman (husband Perry) of Huntingdon; one son, Tim Fields (wife Donna) of Collierville; two sisters, Jane Overbey of Newbern, Joyce Cole (husband Bob) of Lakeland; one brother, Bob Espey (wife Judy) of Atwood and sister- in- law, Theresa Espey of Franklin. She also leaves four grandchildren, Mary-Ashton Blakeman, Bryanna Fields, Brett Blakeman (wife Cassidy) and Matt Fields and a host of nieces and nephews.
