Mrs. Doris Ann Sanders 68, of Bruceton, Tennessee passed away Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery. Bro. Rufus Chandler and Bro Steve Davis will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Sunday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Sanders was born April 27, 1945 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Curtis and Lura (Simpson) McDowell. She was retired from the H I S Company, Inc. and a member of the Concord Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Dora Lewis and one brother, Junior McDowell.

She was survived by her husband of 51 years, James Ray Sanders; one daughter, Lisa McCaig of Paris; two sisters, Nona Moore, Martha Smith (husband Billy) both of Bruceton and one brother; Larry Joe McDowell (wife Judy) of Lexington. She also leaves two grandchildren, Michael Canady, Amanda Gafford, six great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.
