Mrs. Dorothy Lee Taylor Porter, 87, of Dallas, Texas passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Parker Crossroads Cemetery. Bro. Tim Parish will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Porter was born October 1, 1930 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Leland and Cynthia (Flake) Taylor. She was a Retired Registered Nurse for the Baptist Hospital in Memphis and the Dallas Hospital, she was a member of the Church of Christ, and she loved genealogy. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ivy Allison Staggs; two sisters, Gracie Smith and Cornelia Grant; two brothers, Robert Wayne Taylor and James Taylor.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Robert "Bob" Porter; a daughter, Melanie White; three sons, Dr. Scott Porter, Brian Porter, and Brett Porter all of Dallas, Texas. She also leaves eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
