Obituary

Mr. Dudley Ray Edwards, 62 of Huntingdon, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the First Pentecostal Church in Huntingdon. Interment will follow in the Palmer Shelter Cemetery. Pastor Bud Ricketts and Bro. John Columbus will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherry Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Monday from 8:00 AM until 1:30 PM.

Pallbearers who will serve are Ed Mullinax, Steve Phelps, Tracy Belew, Lannie Bradley, Donald Coleman, and Larry Shands. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Hargrove, Greg Hartley, Robert Phifer, Tommy Cowell, Kelly Perry, Gary Berry, and W. C. Truell.

Mr. Edwards was born October 12, 1950 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late James Leroy Edwards and Doris Elizabeth (Joyner) Edwards. He was a retired boilermaker for the Tennessee Valley Authority, a member of the Boilermakers Local Union # 455, and a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Huntingdon. He was also preceded in death by one son, Jonathan Ray Edwards, who died January 27, 2007.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diann (McGee) Edwards, one daughter, Brooke Edward King (husband Clint) of Jackson, two sisters, Marie Beckham (husband Frank) of McKenzie, Wanda Turrentine of Huntingdon, and one brother, Jim Edwards (wife Kelly) of Portage, Indiana. He also leaves one grandson, Knox King.
