Obituary

Mr. Carlton Walls, 94, formerly of Huntingdon, moved to Knoxville in 1998, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 9, 2025 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 10:00 AM until time of the service.

Mr. Walls was born February 19, 1931 in Lavinia, Tennessee to the late Alton Avery Walls and Gladys Easter (McMinn) Walls. He was Army Veteran of the Korean War and a Boilerfireman for the Milan Arsenal for twenty-six years and was a faithful member of the West Knoxville Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years Mildred Marie (Eskew)Walls, two brothers, Allen Walls, Russell Walls, and a sister, Maxine Mauldin.

He is survived by; two sons, Dwayne (Paula) Walls of Huntingdon, Dwight (Linda) Walls of Paris, Tennessee and a daughter, Starr (Shawn) Leehans of Knoxville, Tennessee; two sisters, Brenda Shank, of Austin, Texas, Mattie Ruth Holt, of Glenrose, Texas,  four grandchildren, Katherine Hawkins (Daryl) of Huntingdon, Virginia (Dane) Bailey of Trenton, Tennessee, Lily Stevens and Dexter Stevens of Knoxville and six great grandchildren.
