Mr. Earl Haydel, Sr, 96, of Union City, Tennessee, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

Mr. Haydel was born October 12, 1929, in Reserve, Louisiana, to the late Abner Haydel and Amy Brou Haydel. He worked at Monsanto Chemical Plant for 35 years, many of which he was a tool room supervisor before his retirement. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a lifetime member of the VFW as well as a member of the Catholic Church. His favorite pastime was watching football and was a lifelong fan of the New Orleans Saints.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Doris Broussard Haydel, and brothers Melvin Haydel and Lloyd Haydel.

He is survived by a son, Earl Haydel, Jr. (Laurie) of Jacksonville, North Carolina, a daughter, Terri Morris (Tim) of Union City, Tennessee, a brother, Abner Haydel, of New Orleans, Louisiana. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Wendy Henderson, Jason Haydel, Misty Haydel, Summer Charles-Craft, four great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

The family has chosen to hold memorial services at a later date.
