Mr. Eddie Dean Floyd, 61 of Westport, Tennessee passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery with Bro. Josh Parker and Bro. Matthew Floyd will officiating the service
Pallbearers who serve are Dustin Smith, James Earl Floyd, Tim Madison. James Madison, Kevin Jackson, and Shane Bostick.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday, after 5:00 PM and on Sunday, from 9:00 AM until time of service.
Mr. Floyd was born June 23, 1957 in Chicago Illinois. He was a retired Staff Sargent Technician for the Army Tennessee National Guard where he had 30 years of service. During his military service he served overseas in the Iraq Freedom Coalition, earned a national defense ribbon, had a sharp shooter ribbon in pistol, expert ribbon in rifle and was a member of the Concord Missionary Baptist Church. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, going camping and playing with the grandkids. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virgie Jean (Jones) Floyd.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Becky Floyd, two daughters, Christy Tucker (David) of Huntingdon, Michelle Barrett (Mason) of Westport, his father Edd Junior Floyd, two sisters Beckie McNeely (Jerry) of Atwood, Darlene Kirk (Bobby) of Huntingdon, one brother Willie Floyd (Auga) of Bruceton. He also leaves three grandchildren Kaylynn Barrett, Conner Tucker, and Bryleigh Barrett.
