Mrs. Edith Marie Pearson, 61, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Bro. Tracy McCormick will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time
Pallbearers who will serve are Steve Simpson, Chris Kirksey, Wesley Campbell, James Delaney, Kevin Sawyers and Devin Cannon. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Cary, James Cary, Demetric Harper and Grady Cary.
Mrs. Pearson was born April 4, 1957 in Huntingdon, Tennessee to the late J.P. Forrest and Becky (Beechum) Forrest. Before becoming disabled, she worked for the Dana Corporation as a quality control supervisor and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Williams, Tootsie Brinkley and three brothers, Frank Forrest, Howard Forrest and infant brother, Jackie Forrest.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Gibbs, three daughters, Rudy Cannon of Huntingdon, Rhonda Simpson (husband Steve) of Parsons, Cindy Cannon of Lexington, three step daughters, DaLonna Gibbs-West (husband James) of Dyersburg, Nicky Stone and Michelle Cannon both of Chicago, Illinois, two step sons, Demetric Harper and Eric Gibbs both of Flint, Michigan, three sisters, Sue Cary (husband Grady) of Yuma, Pearl Delaney of Camden, Carolyn Kirksey of Huntingdon and one brother, Larry Forrest (wife Sue) of Huntingdon. She also leaves twenty six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
