Mrs. Effie Carline Rivers, 84, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the Parkers Chapel Church. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Rivers was born March 8, 1932 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Effie Parker and Idell Johnson. She was retired from the Milan Arsenal. She was also preceded death by a daughter, Mary Nell Rivers.

She is survived by Eleven children, Ricky Rivers, Carla Haynes, Wanda Rivers, Brenda Rivers, Sandra Rivers, Joe Rivers, twins, James and Janice Rivers, Inell Melton, Rollie Mae Phillips, and Willard Rivers. She also leaves twenty eight grandchildren.
