Mr. Eldon Junior Hampton, 84 of Hollow Rock, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Prospect Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. David Bayer and Bro. Terry Bradshaw will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Monday at Prospect Baptist Church from 10:30 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who served are Jonathan Hampton, Brian Hampton, Brett Hampton, Brad Hampton, Ronnie Hampton and Brad Ashby.

Mr. Hampton was born November 25, 1932 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Wylie Elmer and Vera Mary (Cary) Hampton. He was a press operator for H I S Company. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Nadean Hampton, one son, Jeff Hampton, one step-daughter, Debra Ashby, two brothers, Ray Hampton, Kenneth Hampton, two sisters, Joyce Allen, and Carolyn Edwards.

He is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Joy C. Hampton, a son, Gary Hampton (wife Wanda) of Hollow Rock, a step-son, Stanley Currin (wife Suzanne) of McKenzie, and a sister, Lois Turner of Hollow Rock. He also leaves two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three step grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren
