Mrs. Alice Elizabeth (Morrissett) Simpson 92, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens. Bro. Josh Parker and Bro. Lynn Stapleton will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Sunday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Simpson was born May 24, 1920 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Jim and Matilda (Hampton) Morrissett. She was a retired nurse assistant for Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon and still volunteered at the hospital and a member of the Concord Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Aaron Simpson, two sons, Jerry Simpson and Donnie Simpson, two sisters, Sue Morrissett, Dorothy Crocker, one brother, Ronnie Morrissett and a special nephew James Simpson.

She is survived by one daughter, Belinda Jordan (husband Bobby), three sons, Danny Simpson (wife Robin), Jimmy Simpson (wife Nancy) and Ricky Simpson (wife Tammy) all of Huntingdon, one sister, Essie Reeves (husband Junior) of Huntingdon. She also leaves fourteen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
