Obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth Thomsen, 98, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Monday, March 30, 2026 at Harmony Hills.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Phil Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Leach Seventh-day Adventist Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at give.cff.org/tennessee and the Leach Seventh-day Adventist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Betty Wallace 2035 McLemoresville Rd. Huntingdon, TN 38344.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 12:00 PM until time of the service at 2:00 PM.

Pallbearers who will serve are, Adam Wallace, Paul Wallace, Alan Verona, David Maners, Mike Walter, Brent Wallace, and Nathan Junker.

Mrs. Thomsen was born July 10,1927 in Huntingdon, Tennessee to the late Clyde and Kate (Kelly) Jarrett. She was a retired LPN; she loved to sew and was a member of the Huntingdon Quilting Club. She was also a member and longtime treasurer of Leach Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, John Wilford Thomsen, a brother, Roy Gene Jarrett and a sister, Mildred Lewis.

She is survived by three daughters, Betty Wallace (Paul) of McLemoresville, Mary Verona (David) of Tucson, Arizona, and Deborah Barger (John) of Franklin; six grandchildren, Adam Wallace (Jo), Jennifer Wallace Maners (David), Hannah Barger Walter (Mike), Paul Wallace, Faith Barger, and Alan Verona (Caroline); and seven great-grandchildren, Brent Wallace, Nathan Junker, Evelyn Walter, Simon Walter, Bennett Ellis, John Akers Ellis, and Charlotte Verona.
