Mr. Elmer Lee Kyle 89, of Cedar Grove, Tennessee passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013 at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hampton Cemetery. Bro. Dennis Abernathy will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Sunday from 11:00 AM until time of service.
Pallbearers who will serve are Greg Barber, David Barber, Clint Kyle, Slade Kyle, Donald Kyle and Phillip Kyle. Honorary Pallbearers who will serve are Rod Rogers and Carl Kyle.
Mr. Kyle was born on August 2, 1923 in Gibson County, Tennessee to the late Clarence Elmer Kyle and Bertha Thelma (Williams) Kyle. He was a retired farmer and a Deacon at Mud Creek Primitive Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Christine Kyle; three brothers, Aubrey Kyle, Jerry Kyle and Bobby Gene Kyle.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Bessie Kyle of Cedar Grove, one daughter, Vivian Barber (Dwayne) of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas; one son, Gayle Kyle (Lynda) of Cedar Grove; two sisters, Thelma Traut of Camden, Judy Fram of Jackson; four brothers, George Kyle of Humboldt, O.B. Kyle of Dover, Winston Kyle of Humboldt and Sylvane Kyle of Huntingdon. He also leaves five grandchildren, Greg Barber, David Barber, Kim Rodgers, Clint Kyle and Slade Kyle, nine great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
