Obituary

Mrs. Essie Morrissett Reeves, 86, of Clarksburg, Tennessee passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens. Bro. Chase Sanders and Bro. Doug Sellers will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday, from5:00PM until 8:00PM and on Monday, from 8:00AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Danny Simpson, Jimmy Simpson, Ricky Simpson, James Morrissett, Phillip Morrissett, Larry Crocker, Tony Crocker, and Jack Chaney.

Mrs. Reeves was born December 2, 1929 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late James Carroll and Matilda Jane (Hampton) Morrissett. She was a retired production worker for the Milan Arsenal and had an in home day care for several years. She was a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ and enjoyed walking, gardening and quilting. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Roy L. Boyd; three sisters, Elizabeth Simpson, Dorthy Crocker, and Sue Morrissett; one brother, Romie Morrissett.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Junior Reeves; one daughter, Kim Boyd Chaney of Waycross, Georgia; two step sons, Ricky Reeves (Pam) of Clarksburg, and Randy Reeves (Alisha) of Wildersville. She also leaves three grandchildren, Kelli Howell (Stacey), Litza Chaney, and Jack Chaney (Samantha), four step grandchildren, Ritchie, Emily, Lauren, and Ricky Reeves and four great grandchildren, Brittany, Sydney, Bella, and Lilli, and one step-great granddaughter, Isabella.
