Ms. Ethel Mae Nash, 98 of Huntingdon, Tennessee, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Hillsman officiating. Interment will follow in New Reedy Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 PM until time of service.
Mrs. Nash was born March 9, 1922 in McLemoresville, Tennessee, to the late Carnell and Willie Mae Hillsman. At the time she became ill, she was a committed member of New Reedy Creek Missionary Baptist Church in McLemoresville, Tennessee, serving on the Missionary Society and singing in the choir. She had also been very civic minded, volunteering for the American Cancer Society and the Carroll County Democratic Women's organization during the earlier years of her life. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John D. Nash, her siblings, Augusta Hunt and Willie Etta Gary.
She is survived two daughters, Ruby Norman (Clarence), Carlotta DeAllen (Kenneth), one son, James Hunt (Ruby), two sisters, Lenora Greer, Maggie Thomas, She also leaves three grandchildren, Gina Atkins (Conrad), Alexandria Hunt, Kevin DeAllen (Kim), nine great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends, including her special caregivers, Charla Govan, Cathy Yates and Wylette O'Neal.
