Mr. Eugene Dodd, 82, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Clarksburg Cemetery. Bro. Samuel Dodd and Bro. Dwayne Brown will officiate the services.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday after 6:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Dodd was born November 29, 1932 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Joseph Griffin and Vadie Ann (Noles) Dodd. He was a mechanic for Handi-Kup and a member of the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Williamson and Jo Ann Jowers; one brother, Troy Dodd.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Velda Dodd; one daughter, Linda J. Pickett (husband Ross) of Springville; five sons, James Gary Dodd (wife Dawn) of Springfield, Illinois, Samuel Lee Dodd (wife Shelia) of Cedar Grove, William Hollis (wife Laurie) of Seneca, Illinois, Brad Hollis of Huntingdon, and Don Barrett (wife Maria) of Racine, Wisconsin; one sister, Lena Myarcle of Georgia. He also leaves sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
