Mrs. Evelyn Hillard, 80 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Humbles Cemetery. Rev. Percy Smith will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:30 PM until time of service.

Mrs. Hillard was born June 23, 1933 in Huntingdon, Tennessee to the late Bernard and Maude Bledsoe. She was a retired seamstress from H. I. S. Company and a member of the St. Paul Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lilly Pearson, Jessie Meeks and Pauline Arnold; her son, Billy and daughter Pauline and daughter-in-law, Judy Hillard.

She is survived by nine children, Virgie Hicks (Curtis) of Toledo, Ohio, Howard Hillard of Nashville, Edmond Hillard of Huntingdon, Ruby Martindale (Walter) of Lexington, Raymond Hillard of Jackson, Russell Hillard of Huntingdon, Charles Hillard (Donna) of Huntingdon, Jerry Hillard of Huntingdon and Irene Tate (Jamie) of Medina. She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
