Mrs. Evelyn Karnes, 87 of Leach, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Sellers officiating.  Interment will follow in Twin Oaks Community Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Karnes was born August 15, 1936 in Cedar Grove, Tennessee, to the late Issah Thomas and Ruby (Sellers) Robinson.  She was a homemaker and a member of Twin Oaks Church of Christ.  Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, of 46 years, Richard H. Karnes, two brothers, Elbert Robinson and Elmer Ray Robinson

She is survived by two daughters, Ann Karnes of Leach, Vickie Eskew of Bruceton, two sons, Richard Glenn Karnes of Henderson, Jeffrey Dale Karnes of McKenzie.  She also leaves five grandchildren, Tommy Karnes, Mollie Aldridge, Stephanie Wilson, Robert Eskew, Michael Eskew, four great-grandchildren, Jesse Wilson, Jared Wilson, Tucker Eskew, and Walter Karnes.
