Mr. Franklin Norval Smith, 49, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed away Monday, February 6, 2024 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bishop Carlos Shutes officiating. Burial to follow in Parkers Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 P.M. noon, until time of service.
Franklin Norval Smith was born on September 25, 1974 to MaryAnn Barnhill and the late Franklin D. Smith. He departed this life on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. He joined Rosser Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife Tequilla Smith, his sons Ayden, Austyn, Ashton, and Mark. His stepmother JoAnn Smith and sisters Tanya (James) Choyce, Sharri Smith, and Britany Smith. His stepfather Ronald Barnhill and step grandmother Rodicie Barnhill. Mother in law Karen Winrow and father in law James Winrow. God-daughter Brittish Vance. Brother in law James (Joy) Winrow II and his sister in law Ashley Winrow. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends
Norval graduated from Huntingdon High School in 1993. He received his Bachelors Degree from The University of Memphis and went on to Christian Brothers University in Memphis to receive his Masters Degree. He was a member of Alpha Phi Fraternity Inc, Masons, and Shriners. He was employed by the city of Murfreesboro.
He was a dedicated husband, son, brother, and father to his children. He loved old cars, many sports, especially the San Francisco 49ers, bicycle riding, and spending time with his family. He was an outstanding person and will be greatly missed.
