Garvin Scruggs' Obituary
Mr. Garvin Odell Scruggs, 70, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Carter's Chapel Cemetery. Pastor Mark Carrigan will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
Mr. Scruggs was born May 26, 1946 in Cedar Grove, Tennessee to the late Vernon and Nellie (House) Scruggs. He was employed at Espey Oil Company. He was also preceded in death by three brothers.
He is survived by one daughter, Tisha Mitchell; one son, Dale Scruggs (Lydia) both of Huntingdon; four sisters, Pat Wall (Richard) of Memphis, Sarah Collet of Georgia, Barbara Rimmer, and Lynn Rodgers (Tom) both of Atwood; two brothers, Bobby Scruggs and Randy Scruggs (Margie) both of Atwood. He also leaves four grandchildren, William Breakenridge, Morgan Scruggs, Amber Mitchell, and Katie Nance, four great grandchildren, and a special friend of the family, Marisa Perez of Huntingdon.
