Mr. Gary Lamar King 73, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Rev. Dearled King will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 PM until time of service
Mr. King was born February 3, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Garvin King and Pauline (McKinney) King. He was a retired tool and die maker for the Ford Motor Company, a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Lincoln Park, Michigan, a Moose Lodge member and served in the United Sates Army. He was also an avid baseball player, bird hunter and a born again Christian. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother; Charles Ronald King.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years; Alma Lee (Tate) King of Huntingdon, three daughters; Christina Phoenix Hylan (Phil) of Mountain View, Arkansas, Kathern Diane Thrasher (Marshall) of Rock Spring, Georgia, Virginia Lee Baugh (Jackson) of Lincoln Park, Michigan and one brother; James King (Vicky) of Dearborn Heights, Michigan. He also leaves seven grandchildren; Michael Lamar Brown, Phillip Todd Baugh, Dana Elizabeth Baugh, Emily Ruth Thrasher, Maryann Naomi Thrasher, Trenton Marshall Thrasher and Clayton Eugene Thrasher.
