Obituary

Mr. Gaylon Ray Weathers 61, of Parkers Crossroads, Tennessee passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pastor Gene Shields will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and at the Hopewell Church on Tuesday from Noon until time of services.

Mr. Weathers was born March 27, 1952 in Madison County, Tennessee to the late Elvis and Dimper Weathers. He was a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and worked at Leroy Somer for 44 years, until his death.

He is survived by his wife, Lee Helen Weathers, one son, Timothy Weathers (wife Renee) of Parker Crossroads, two daughters, Kimberly Owens of Rosser, Jessica Threatt (husband Benard) of Memphis, three brothers, Thomas Hart of Clarksburg, Robert Lewis (wife Evamae) of Huntingdon, John Elvis Whitaker of Lexington, two sisters, Denisty Starr Whitaker (huband Fermin), and Shoclorguez Webb, both of Lexington. Three brothers-in-law, Tony Hart, Jessie E. Hart, Terry Melton, one sister-in-law, Peggy Hart, one special sister, Sharon King (husband Lewis), three aunts, Francis Gooch, Norma Mebane, Mamie Donald, one uncle, A. L. Weathers. He also leaves five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
