Mr. Carlton Gene Perry, 78 of Clarksburg, Tennessee, passed Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Chase Sanders officiating.  Interment will follow in Seller's Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 12:00 Noon until time of service.

Due to the current pandemic conditions and the family's concern for the health and well-being of others, the family has requested that those in attendance, at the visitation and funeral service, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Mr. Perry was born September 10, 1942 in Big Sandy, Tennessee, to the late Ottie B. Perry and Nancy Asilee (Cooper) Perry.  He was retired from the Carroll County Highway Department and a member of Clarksburg Church of Christ.  He enjoyed riding horses, later in life riding his side by side, and loved socializing with his friends at J & J in Clarksburg.  He was also preceded in death by one sister, Ella Wheatley and one brother, Bobby Perry.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Perry, two sons, Jimmy Perry (Debbie), Jeff Perry (Sheila) both of Clarksburg, and one sister, Ardella Stepp of Big Sandy.  He also leaves three grandchildren, Helen Perry, Steven Todd, Johnny Todd, three great-grandchildren, Peyton Collins, Trenton Todd, and Kyleigh Todd.
