Obituary

Mrs. Geneva Schaffer Gaskin, 84 of Yuma, Tennessee passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Baptist Hospital East in Memphis.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Clarksburg Cemetery. Bro. Andrew Stokes officiated the service.

The family will receive friends at the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time of service.

Mrs. Gaskin was born July 18, 1930 in Allerton, Illinois to the late Lemuil Gillenwater and Roxie Crowe Gillenwater. She was a retired customer service operator for AT&T and a member of the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Richard C. Schaffer Sr., her second husband James Gaskin, and one sister, Virginia Reedy, and two brothers, Floyd and Charles Gillenwater.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Bradley and Marjorie Jean Evans (husband Terry) both of Yuma, two sons, Richard C. Schaffer Jr. (wife Linda) of Huntingdon, Thomas W. Schaffer (wife Sharon) of Michigan, and one sister, Pearl Rink of Yuma. She also leaves numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
