Mr. George Melvin Parrish, 72, of Westport, Tennessee passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at his home.

The family will have a memorial service on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 3:00 PM at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Plainville, Georgia.

Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 1:00 PM until time of service.

Mr. Parrish was born June 9, 1947 in Plant City, Florida, to the late George Grady Parrish and Doris Lorraine (Goff) Parrish.  He was a retired truck driver, was Baptist by faith and he served in the Army during the Vietnam Era.  He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Bennett, one brother, William Grady Parrish, and one sister, Jimmie Lou Freeman.

He was survived by four daughters, Melanie King (Joe Worley) of Ranger, Georgia, Connie Pendergrass (Scott) of Calhoun, Georgia, Stacie Musella (Rick) of Zephyrhills, Florida, Amber Parrish (Charles Ramey) of Nevada, Missouri, two sisters, Barbara Allen of Huntingdon, Sandi Griffin of Gainesville, Georgia and one brother, David Parrish of Lakeland, Florida.  He also leaves nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
